The refuge is in desperate need of funds - dozens of animals arrive each week, from terrapins to jaguars, all in need of space, housing, food and medicine. To give you an idea of the purchasing power of your donation, rainforest neighbouring Parque Ambue Ari, which we are urgently trying to buy as the current owner burns it for farming, costs $40/€30/£20 per acre ($100 per hectare).
