El santuario limita con el Parque Nacional Madidi, uno de los lugares con mayor biodiversidad del mundo.<\/p>\n<p>En Jacj Cuisi puedes disfrutar de caminatas por la selva donde ver\u00e1s muchas aves (guacamayos, tucanes, loros amaz\u00f3nicos) y podr\u00e1s ba\u00f1arte en sus arroyos de agua cristalina. Por la noche, aprovecha la oportunidad para observar las estrellas y \u00fanete a nuestros paseos en las noches de luna llena para ver animales nocturnos.<\/p>\n<p>El ambiente en Jacj Cuisi es muy familiar. Los voluntarios suelen ir a Rurrenabaque en su d\u00eda libre para tomar c\u00f3cteles y cenar en restaurantes internacionales. Usualmente pasan la noche all\u00ed y disfrutan su d\u00eda libre relaj\u00e1ndose y haciendo paseos tur\u00edsticos por Rurrenabaque, un hermoso pueblito. Normalmente los voluntarios van a Rurrenabaque en su d\u00eda libre para desconectar, tener acceso a WiFi, comer fuera y hacer compras para la semana. Los voluntarios reciben tres comidas al d\u00eda (desayuno, almuerzo y cena), excepto en tu d\u00eda libre, adem\u00e1s de alojamiento en dormitorios compartidos con camas tipo camarote y duchas de agua fr\u00eda. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es importante destacar que Jacj Cuisi no recibe ning\u00fan tipo de financiamiento gubernamental y depende completamente de los aportes de voluntarios y donaciones para sostener sus operaciones. Para garantizar el bienestar de los animales bajo nuestro cuidado, el santuario no est\u00e1 abierto a visitantes. Recibir\u00e1s s\u00e1banas, una almohada y una mosquitera. Te recomendamos traer saco de dormir o una manta en la estaci\u00f3n seca (de abril a octubre) porque generalmente hace fr\u00edo por la noche.<\/p>\n<p>Desde tu cama en el dormitorio al aire libre puede disfrutar del cielo estrellado en medio de la selva virgen.<\/p>\n<p>Hay cobertura m\u00f3vil de Entel solo en puntos espec\u00edficos dentro del santuario. Las duchas son agua fr\u00eda. Tambi\u00e9n puedes ba\u00f1arte y relajarte en un arroyo cercano. Traiga jabones biodegradables, ya que el agua va directamente al r\u00edo.<\/p>\n<p>Solo hay electricidad en el comedor y dormitorios para la nevera, cargar dispositivos y para tener luz durante las cenas. En el resto del campamento se utilizan velas o linternas.<\/p>\n<h4>Comida<\/h4>\n<p>El costo de tu estad\u00eda incluye desayuno, almuerzo y cena 6 d\u00edas de la semana. Todas las comidas son vegetarianas.<\/p>\n<p>El desayuno incluye pan casero, margarina y t\u00e9. Puede traer cereales, avena o fruta para complementar el desayuno.<\/p>\n<p>El almuerzo y la cena generalmente son cocinados por nuestros trabajadores. Si brillas en la cocina, no dudes en hac\u00e9rnoslo saber y deleitarnos con tus platos.<\/p>\n<p>Av\u00edsanos cuando llegues si tienes alguna restricci\u00f3n alimentaria, para tenerlo en cuenta al cocinar.<\/p>\n<p>Si tienes alguna alergia o intolerancia alimentaria, por favor trae contigo alimentos espec\u00edficos ya que no podemos proporcionarlos. Por ejemplo, si tienes alergia al gluten, trae suficientes alimentos porque la mayor\u00eda de lo que servimos contiene gluten. Puedes encontrar estos alimentos en Rurrenabaque.<\/p>\n<p>Se aconseja a los veganos que traigan alimentos o suplementos ricos en prote\u00ednas.<\/p>\n<h4>Recursos m\u00e9dicos<\/h4>\n<p>El Parque Jacj Cuisi cuenta con materiales b\u00e1sicos de primeros auxilios. Tanto San Buenaventura como Rurrenabaque tienen hospitales y farmacias. Sin embargo, te sugerimos que traigas un botiqu\u00edn de medicamentos por si acaso. Si tomas alguna medicaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica o que no sea com\u00fan, te recomendamos traer suficiente cantidad para cubrir toda tu estancia.<\/p>\n<h4>Otras consideraciones<\/h4>\n<p>El pueblo m\u00e1s cercano es San Buenaventura y, pasando el r\u00edo Beni, est\u00e1 Rurrenabaque, a 25 km de distancia, donde hay tiendas, restaurantes de todo tipo, farmacias, un hospital y acceso a internet.<\/p>\n<p>La humedad es alta durante todo el a\u00f1o, por lo que recomendamos guardar los aparatos electr\u00f3nicos (tel\u00e9fonos, c\u00e1maras, computadoras, y discos duros) en recipientes herm\u00e9ticos o bolsas impermeables estancas con arroz o bolsitas de silica para que absorban la humedad y as\u00ed evitar da\u00f1os. Es necesario llevar bolsas impermeables estancas para llevar tus art\u00edculos electr\u00f3nicos (tel\u00e9fono) contigo mientras trabajas ya que las lluvias pueden ser impredecibles. Maps.Me and Google Maps offer this service. It is always advisable to arrive before dark.<\/p>\n<p>If you are traveling during the wet season (from October to March), we recommend flying to Rurrenabaque, as road collapses are frequent and can make the road impassable. You can email us to check the road conditions.<\/p>\n<h4>Getting to Rurrenabaque<\/h4>\n<h5>From La Paz to Rurrenabaque:<\/h5>\n<p>From La Paz you can take a plane or a bus to Rurrenabaque.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>By plane: The La Paz airport is in El Alto, about half an hour by taxi from the city center (with light traffic). The flight to Rurrenabaque takes about half an hour. During the wet season, flights may experience delays due to heavy rains. Two airlines operate flights to Rurrenabaque: Boliviana de Aviaci\u00f3n BOA (https:\/\/www.boa.bo\/BoAWebsite) and Ecojet (https:\/\/www.ecojet.com.bo\/).<\/li>\n<li>By bus: Buses depart daily from the Villa F\u00e1tima terminal starting at 2:30 pm. The most reliable company for this route is usually \u201cFlota Yungue\u00f1a\u201d. The bus fare is 70 Bs and the journey can take between 12 hours and over 24 hours, depending on road conditions during the rainy season. We recommend bringing enough drinks and snacks, or considering flying instead.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h5>From Santa Cruz to Rurrenabaque:<\/h5>\n<p>From Santa Cruz you can take a bus to Rurrenabaque:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>By bus: Go to the Bimodal Terminal. Ask at the information point for the counters of the companies that travel to Rurrenabaque. The trip costs from 150 to 250 Bs. and the journey takes 20 to 25 hours.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h5>From Trinidad to Rurrenabaque<\/h5>\n<p>From Trinidad there are three ways to get to Rurrenabaque:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>By bus: It leaves at 10:30 a.m. from the Trinidad bus terminal (they do not go every day). Tickets cost around 130 Bs. The trip usually lasts from 12 to 20 hours, although it can take much longer in adverse weather conditions. In the rainy season (October to March), roads can become impassable and you may need to take a plane.<\/li>\n<li>By rapidito (minivan): Go by taxi or motorcycle taxi to the \u201cex-terminal de buses\u201d. Take a rapidito to San Borja and from there, another to Rurrenabaque. The rapiditos leave when they fill with passengers. The tickets cost between 170 and 180 Bs. and the trip lasts from 7 to 15 hours, although in the rainy season (from October to March), there may be delays and the roads can become impassable.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h5>From Rurrenabaque to Parque Jacj Cuisi<\/h5>\n<p>From the airport or the bus terminal, take a motorcycle taxi (10bs) or a taxi (15-20bs) to San Buenaventura \u00abparada de taxis\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>From the airport take the Amazonas transfer bus (10bs) to the centre of Rurre. Then a moto taxi (5bs) to San Buenaventura.<\/p>\n<p>Also, once in the centre of Rurrenabaque, you can walk across the bridge that joins Rurrenabaque and San Buenaventura (20-30mins walk).<\/p>\n<p>When you take the taxi, indicate that you are going in the direction of Tumupasa and that you will stop at \u00abParque Jacj Cuisi\u00bb (although they know it as \u00abYacusi\u00bb). Taxis and rapiditos leave when they are full, cost between 20 and 30 Bs and take 30-45min, depending on the season.<\/p>\n<p>Normally all drivers know where the sanctuary is. In case they do not know it, explain that it is 25km from San Buenaventura, just after Chiquitos (a large farm property) and before a small river and Everest village. If you end up on a paved road, you&#8217;ve gone too far.<\/p>\n<h4>When you arrive<\/h4>\n<p>On the left side of the road you will see a sign that says \u201cBienvenidos a Jacj Cuisi\u201d. Enter the camp through the door and the first building you see will be the volunteer house where you will sleep. Feel free to leave your bags at the house, use the bathroom, or walk to the kitchen (dining room). The buildings are signposted with signs.
