Disfrutamos las noches de los s\u00e1bados todos juntos en Villa 16 de Julio comiendo deliciosas comidas. Los viernes nos gusta organizar fiestas en el pub del santuario, muchas de ellas tem\u00e1ticas (si te gusta disfrazarte, esta es tu oportunidad de brillar). Los martes (nuestro d\u00eda libre) nos gusta relajarnos en la laguna de Itapem\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de la cena, los voluntarios suelen jugar a las cartas en la mesa del comedor, cantar y tocar instrumentos en la zona de fumadores o simplemente acostarse temprano para recargar energ\u00edas para el d\u00eda siguiente.<\/p>\n<p>Vivir en medio de la selva tiene muchas ventajas, pero tambi\u00e9n algunos inconvenientes, como los mosquitos y caminar por \u00e1reas inundadas del santuario durante la \u00e9poca h\u00fameda (aunque a muchas personas les resulta divertido, especialmente cuando hacen carreras para regresar al campamento).[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section i_icon_fontawesome=\u00bbfa fa-paw\u00bb add_icon=\u00bbtrue\u00bb title=\u00bb\u00c1reas de Manejo\u00bb tab_id=\u00bb1551668334661-7785748b-104350e2-4bfa\u00bb][vc_column_text]En el Parque Ambue Ari cuidamos de una gran variedad de animales distribuidos en distintas \u00e1reas de manejo y recintos. Cuando llegues al santuario se te asignar\u00e1n tus \u00e1reas de trabajo o animales individuales. Se tienen en cuenta las preferencias de los voluntarios, as\u00ed como las necesidades del santuario y los animales. Por esta raz\u00f3n, no podemos garantizar el trabajo en un \u00e1rea en particular.<\/p>\n<p>Todos los voluntarios que trabajan con animales deben ayudar a limpiar, preparar alimentos y proporcionar enriquecimiento, especialmente a los animales que no pueden salir de sus recintos. Adem\u00e1s, estar\u00e1s a cargo de tareas espec\u00edficas en el \u00e1rea, como se explica abajo. Ten en cuenta la estancia m\u00ednima para cada \u00e1rea. Se determina de acuerdo con las necesidades de los animales, por su bienestar y estabilidad.<\/p>\n<p>El horario en Ambue Ari es:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7:00-8:00h Alimentaci\u00f3n de peque\u00f1os animales y tareas diarias de mantenimiento del campamento<\/li>\n<li>8:00-9:00h Desayuno<\/li>\n<li>9:00-12:30h Trabajo en un \u00e1rea o con un animal<\/li>\n<li>12:30-2:00pm: Almuerzo<\/li>\n<li>2:00-5:30pm: Trabajo en un \u00e1rea o con un animal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Algunos animales tienen diferentes horas dependiendo de su biolog\u00eda, la \u00e9poca del a\u00f1o y la cantidad de voluntarios. Normalmente se pide a los voluntarios que se quedan un mes o m\u00e1s que colaboren trabajando la ma\u00f1ana de un s\u00e1bado. A cambio se recibe una ma\u00f1ana o tarde libre entre semana y cena gratis ese s\u00e1bado.<\/p>\n<p>Los martes por la noche solemos ir a Santa Mar\u00eda (un pueblo cercano) a relajarnos, escuchar m\u00fasica, comer las incre\u00edblemente ricas empanadas de Do\u00f1a Lourdes y tomarnos un helado.<\/p>\n<p>Aprovechamos el s\u00e1bado para desconectar y pasarlo bien en la Laguna de Itapem\u00ed de Ascensi\u00f3n de Guarayos o simplemente descansando en el campamento y disfrutando de un d\u00eda tranquilo.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section i_icon_fontawesome=\u00bbfa fa-usd\u00bb add_icon=\u00bbtrue\u00bb title=\u00bbCostos\u00bb tab_id=\u00bb1550652529664-f98559a6-74ed50e2-4bfa\u00bb][vc_column_text css=\u00bb\u00bb]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hacer voluntariado en Ambue Ari, uno de los santuarios de vida silvestre de Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi (CIWY), ofrece una oportunidad \u00fanica para contribuir directamente al cuidado y rehabilitaci\u00f3n de animales rescatados. Los voluntarios reciben tres comidas al d\u00eda (desayuno, almuerzo y cena), excepto en tu d\u00eda libre, adem\u00e1s de alojamiento en dormitorios compartidos con camas tipo camarote y duchas de agua fr\u00eda. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es importante destacar que Ambue Ari no recibe ning\u00fan tipo de financiamiento gubernamental y depende completamente de los aportes de voluntarios y donaciones para sostener sus operaciones. Para garantizar el bienestar de los animales bajo nuestro cuidado, el santuario no est\u00e1 abierto a visitantes. Se proporcionan s\u00e1banas, una almohada, un mosquitero y mantas o saco de dormir (seg\u00fan disponibilidad). Te recomendamos traer saco de dormir o una manta en la estaci\u00f3n seca (de abril a octubre), ya que puede hacer bastante fr\u00edo en la noche.<\/p>\n<p>El santuario tiene electricidad en la cocina, la oficina y la cl\u00ednica. Los refrigeradores y una estaci\u00f3n de carga que se habilita para los voluntarios varios d\u00edas a la semana. En casi todo el territorio del santuario hay cobertura telef\u00f3nica suficiente para hacer llamadas y tambi\u00e9n hay algo de se\u00f1al de internet m\u00f3vil (suficiente para enviar y recibir WhatsApps, insuficiente para hacer videollamadas). La \u00fanica compa\u00f1\u00eda que ofrece cobertura es Entel (la SIM card o chip cuesta 10 Bs). Hay agua potable filtrada de un pozo que puedes consumir sin problema. El santuario no dispone de duchas de agua caliente. Los ba\u00f1os son ecol\u00f3gicos y secos.<\/p>\n<h4>Comida<\/h4>\n<p>El costo de tu estad\u00eda incluye desayuno, almuerzo y cena (excepto la cena del s\u00e1bado). Los voluntarios suelen ir los martes a Ascensi\u00f3n de Guarayos y cenar all\u00ed todos juntos, aunque tambi\u00e9n ofrecemos la posibilidad de cenar en el Santuario.<\/p>\n<p>El desayuno incluye dos panes, mantequilla y caf\u00e9, t\u00e9 o cacao en polvo. Se pueden pedir huevos duros, huevos fritos, s\u00e1ndwiches y tostadas francesas seg\u00fan el d\u00eda de la semana. Si sueles desayunar cereales u otras cosas, puedes traerlo para complementar el desayuno.<\/p>\n<p>El almuerzo y la cena suelen ser vegetarianos, aunque se ofrece carne una vez por semana.<\/p>\n<p>Av\u00edsanos a tu llegada si tienes alguna restricci\u00f3n alimentaria para tenerlo en cuenta a la hora de cocinar.<\/p>\n<p>Si tienes alguna alergia o intolerancia alimentaria, por favor trae contigo alimentos espec\u00edficos ya que no podemos proporcionarlos. Por ejemplo, si tienes alergia al gluten, trae suficientes alimentos porque la mayor\u00eda de lo que servimos contiene gluten. Se pueden encontrar algunos alimentos en Santa Mar\u00eda, el pueblo m\u00e1s cercano, aunque hay m\u00e1s variedad en Ascensi\u00f3n de Guarayos, a 1h en autob\u00fas desde el santuario.<\/p>\n<p>Se aconseja a los veganos que traigan alimentos o suplementos ricos en prote\u00ednas.<\/p>\n<h4>Recursos m\u00e9dicos<\/h4>\n<p>El hospital m\u00e1s cercano est\u00e1 a 1h en autob\u00fas, en Ascensi\u00f3n de Guarayos. Las farmacias suelen estar bien surtidas. De todas formas, te sugerimos que traigas un botiqu\u00edn b\u00e1sico de medicamentos. Si tomas alguna medicaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica o que no sea com\u00fan, te recomendamos traer suficiente cantidad para cubrir toda tu estancia. En el santuario brindamos primeros auxilios en caso de accidente.<\/p>\n<h4>Bancos y cajeros autom\u00e1ticos<\/h4>\n<p>Recomendamos que traigas suficiente dinero en efectivo para cubrir tus gastos durante la totalidad de tu estad\u00eda (puedes sacarlo en Santa Cruz, Trinidad o cualquier otra ciudad grande), aunque en Ascensi\u00f3n de Guarayos hay varias opciones:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bancos y cajeros autom\u00e1ticos<\/li>\n<li>Banco Ecofuturo: acepta Visa y MasterCard.<\/li>\n<li>Western Union: puedes pedir un anticipo con tu tarjeta de cr\u00e9dito (cobrando una comisi\u00f3n de, al menos, el 5%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>El cajero autom\u00e1tico confiable m\u00e1s cercano est\u00e1 en Trinidad, que est\u00e1 a 3 o 4 horas en bus.<\/p>\n<h4>Otras consideraciones<\/h4>\n<p>El santuario est\u00e1 a 15 minutos en autob\u00fas del pueblo m\u00e1s cercano, Santa Mar\u00eda. All\u00ed hay tiendas b\u00e1sicas, puestos de comida, un bar y un tel\u00e9fono.<\/p>\n<p>A 1h en autob\u00fas est\u00e1 Ascensi\u00f3n de Guarayos, un pueblo m\u00e1s grande con m\u00e1s tiendas, restaurantes, farmacias, varios hospitales, tel\u00e9fono y acceso a internet.<\/p>\n<p>Es com\u00fan que trabajes con m\u00e1s de un animal o \u00e1rea de manejo (especialmente en \u00e9poca de lluvias) y es necesario tener ropa separada para cada \u00e1rea para no transmitir olores de un animal a otro (algunos de nuestros animales son presas de otros en la naturaleza).<\/p>\n<p>Debido a la alta humedad y la lluvia, especialmente durante la temporada de lluvias, puede llevar m\u00e1s tiempo de lo previsto secar la ropa. Seguramente necesitar\u00e1s cambiarte de ropa con m\u00e1s frecuencia ya que parte del territorio se inunda. Recomendamos traer m\u00e1s pares de calcetines y ropa interior de los que crees que necesitar\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<p>Durante la temporada de lluvias muchas zonas del santuario se inundan durante meses. La presencia de mosquitos se multiplica y los voluntarios caminan con el agua hasta la cintura (a veces llega hasta el pecho) para llegar a sus \u00e1reas de trabajo. Cuando los niveles de agua suben por encima de la altura de las botas, se usan botas con agujeros para permitir que el agua drene r\u00e1pidamente. Debes secarte bien los pies y aplicar talco para prevenir los hongos.<\/p>\n<p>El grado de humedad es alto durante todo el a\u00f1o, por lo que recomendamos guardar los aparatos electr\u00f3nicos (tel\u00e9fonos, c\u00e1maras, computadoras, port\u00e1tiles y discos duros) en recipientes herm\u00e9ticos o bolsas impermeables estancas con arroz o bolsitas de silica para que absorban la humedad y as\u00ed evitar da\u00f1os. Es necesario llevar bolsas impermeables estancas para llevar tus art\u00edculos electr\u00f3nicos (tel\u00e9fono) contigo mientras trabajas ya que las lluvias pueden ser impredecibles. It is 348 km from Santa Cruz and 202 km from Trinidad. At the entrance you can see a small cabin and some signs. All bus drivers know where we are.<\/p>\n<p>Please try to arrive before dark since we don&#8217;t have electricity. If you are going to arrive on Saturday, please let us know to prepare your arrival. Note that the volunteers have this day off and that the staff leaves the camp to have dinner in a nearby town.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend downloading map applications that work without the internet to help you find the sanctuary. Maps.Me and Google Maps offer this service.<\/p>\n<p>Read on for specific directions from the cities of Santa Cruz and Trinidad:<\/p>\n<h4>From Santa Cruz to Parque Ambue Ari<\/h4>\n<p>In Santa Cruz, go to the Bimodal Terminal. There, go to the provincial departures platform called \u201cla terminal provincial\u201d, passing through the tunnel under the railroad track. If you take a taxi to the bus terminal, ask the driver to drop you off directly at the provincial terminal. From here you have two options:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>By bus: Trans Guarayos Line 102 has daily departures at 9:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. towards San Pablo, a town that is 2-3 hours past the sanctuary. Tell the ticket seller and the bus driver that you are going to Parque Ambue Ari. The trip costs about 45 Bs. and takes 7 hours. We recommend that you take the 9:00 bus to arrive during the day. Also, make sure that the final destination of your bus is San Pablo. The same company offers services to Ascensi\u00f3n de Guarayos, a town 1h before Parque Ambue Ari. These buses drop you off at the terminal on the outskirts of town. If you arrive at Ascensi\u00f3n de Guarayos, take a motorcycle taxi to the market and there take a minivan \u201crapiditio\u201d (to the right of the market) or a taxi to the sanctuary.<br \/>\nThe 2:00 p.m. bus will drop you off at the sanctuary after dark, so we recommend that you have a flashlight ready. The 5:00 p.m. bus will get you to the sanctuary in the middle of the night, so we recommend that you do not take it.<\/li>\n<li>By rapidito: Minivans known as \u201crapiditos\u201d are operated by Estrella del Este. They leave as whenever they are full of passengers. Tell the driver that you are going to Parque Ambue Ari. On rare occasions some minivans go to San Pablo and may drop you off at the entrance of the sanctuary. However, most only go as far as Ascensi\u00f3n de Guarayos. They cost between 40 and 50 Bs. and take 4 to 5 hours. In Ascensi\u00f3n de Guarayos take another rapidito (next to the market) or the fleet (bus, in the new terminal to go by motorcycle taxi) to San Pablo. Ask to be dropped off at Parque Ambue Ari. The trip from Ascensi\u00f3n de Guarayos to the sanctuary costs 20 Bs. in a rapidito and 6 Bs. by bus, and takes 45 minutes to an hour. The rapiditos go when they are full of passengers. The bus leaves at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (they can be more than an hour late).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>From Trinidad to Parque Ambue Ari<\/h4>\n<p>Take a motorcycle taxi to \u201cla parada para San Pablo.\u201d From there, take a minivan (known as a \u201crapidito\u201d) to San Pablo. The trip costs between 15 and 25 Bs. and takes from 2 to 3 hours. Rapiditos leave whenever they are full.<\/p>\n<p>From San Pablo, take another rapidito towards Ascensi\u00f3n de Guarayos, but ask to be dropped off at Parque Ambue Ari. This part of the journey costs between 10 and 15 Bs. and takes from 2 to 3 hours. We recommend leaving Trinidad in the morning to ensure arrival during the day<\/p>\n<h4>When you arrive<\/h4>\n<p>At the entrance of the sanctuary there is a path that leads to the camp. Follow the path and ask anyone you see for the volunteer coordinator. If the coordinator is not nearby, you will be taken to the office where you can leave your luggage.
